Dubuque, IA is Famous
The Forgotten, a new show on ABC, aired last night. The missing girl in the show is from Dubuque, IA. Here’s a video clip proving it. I also think that this clip is an actual shot from downtown Dubuque. Do you agree with me?
Sixteen million seven hundred eighty two thousand...
The new Cowboys stadium just set a new record for a regular season game attendance. 105,121. That’s more people than live in Midland.
According to ESPN, the average cost of a Cowboys ticket is $159.65. Multiply that out and they just raked in $16,782,567.70 in ticket sales alone (this doesn’t include concessions and memorabilia).
Holy cow (boy).
Obama on Kanye West
I find it amazing that President Obama can get away with calling anybody a “jack***” and not get incredible repercussions from it. If Bush had said anything like that—especially about a black person—he would’ve nearly been impeached.
And then Obama goes onto say “c’mon guys, cut me some slack. I’ve got a lot on my plate” O RLY?!?!? So that...

MBC Men's Softball - Game #3
Final score:
MBC - 9 Other team - 12
We played at 7:30pm, for the first time on a dry field.
I played left field defensively. Fairly quiet. A few line drives, and a couple pop-ups. This was the first game I had to play looking into the sun. For the first few innings I could barely see the ball until it was hit. Made things kinda interesting.
Offensively, I kinda sucked it up. My first at bat I...

Midland to Dallas and Back Again
Today I drove to Dallas (actually I drove to Carrollton, which is a suburb of Dallas). There was a Men’s Breakfast at 8am this morning at church, so I went there and then left at 9:05am. The drive was supposed to be 5 hours, but due to the rain, there were a bunch of accidents in Dallas which caused traffic jams, so the trip ended up taking an extra 40 minutes. I waited about 20 minutes for...

MBC Men's Softball - Game #2
Final score:
MBC - 17 Other team - 7
We played at 9:30pm, after another rainy evening. It was in the 70s but muggy.
I got placed from last in the batting order to the #1 batting spot for this game. I also moved defensively from left field to center.
My first at bat was a walk. I wanted to swing, but the pitcher wasn’t giving me anything close. The 2nd batter walked, with the third...

Offsite Data Backup →
BackBlaze looks like a great service to use for offsite data backup. I’ve just started backing up my two Mac’s to this service. I use TimeMachine so that I always have a local backup of all my data, but if there was a fire or something, I could potentially lose everything—unless I have it stored offsite.

MBC Men's Softball - Game #1
Final score:
MBC - 22 Other team - 21
We played at 7:30pm, with the weather clearing up just before game time.
I haven’t played softball since Emmaus, so it’s been 2 seasons. I didn’t expect to play very well since I wouldn’t be in the swing of things, but thankfully, I was wrong.
I played out in left field, and the first batter popped it up to left center. I was able...

Caleb's Secrets to Free Meals
Be single. Seriously. Being a young bachelor apparently makes people feel sorry for you or something. I guess they must think that you really don’t want to and/or can’t cook (and they would be correct on the “don’t want to” part for me).
Love food. Don’t be picky. Eat everything and anything. You really need to love food, and express this love as much as...
